A tribute to Diego Rivera.

I admire Diego because of his boldness and honesty in using his art to promote justice. He was not afraid to offend his patrons by painting what he believed as the truth. Maybe it was his artist’s ego that allowed him to do so. Whatever it was, I really hope I would develop that passion to defend the cause of those who are suffering and do so through my art.

The model for this painting was involved in Occupy Wall Street, which makes Diego Rivera’s painting a perfect choice for her.
