SI video of Kate Upton’s body painting

Sports Illustrated recently released the behind the scene video of the body painting and shoot process with Kate Upton for their 2013 swimsuit calendar.

As a body painter, I find it really cool to see Joanne Gair and her team work their magic, particularly the realistic intricate necklace.

However, I feel like the tone of the entire video is focusing too much on the nudity. I understand that a naked hot model is a novelty and a selling point to grab eyeballs, which is the point of the video, but I just wish that they made the artistic part of the body painting as the focal point.

In any case, this type of video still bring body painting to people’s attention which help grow the industry.
